2007: Started nine games for the Eagles. Collected two wins and one save pitching 56.1 innings. Allowed no earned runs in 7.2 innings against Xavier on Feb. 17. Had a win at 13th-ranked UCLA on Feb. 3. Did not allow any extra base hits or threw a wild pitch in his last 8.1 innings of work.
2006: Started one game and made 21 appearances compiling a 2-0 record with one save. Also collected 24 strikeouts in 37 innings.
With Young Harris: Played 16 games (one start) with a 1-2 record and a 3.90 ERA, allowing 23 hits, 15 runs (12 ER) and fanning 30 in 27.2 IP. Also had three saves. Held opponents to a .221 average.
High School: Named MVP of his team twice. Selected to the All-Region team as a senior and Second-Team All-Region as a junior. In 2002, was selected WWBA Underclassman Most Valuable Pitcher. Played on Team Georgia twice. Ranked 87th by Baseball America for upcoming seniors in 2004.
Personal: The son of Mark and Marie-Jose Schwartz, Ryan enjoys fishing, golfing and lifting weights. He is a business management major and became an Eagle Scout in 2003.
