Women's Soccer Contest At Georgia Southern Cancelled
Lady Eagles Return To Action Aug. 27 Against Marshall

STATESBORO, GA – The opening-season contest for the Winthrop women’s soccer team against Georgia Southern was cancelled with 18:45 remaining in the first half due to weather in the Statesboro area. There will be no make-up date.
The Lady Eagles were trailing GSU 1-0 when the game was postponed due to lightning. The contest was delayed for over two hours before it was officially cancelled.
Winthrop will resume its regular season on Friday, Aug. 27 at 7 p.m. against Marshall as part of the 2010 Winthrop Invitational at Eagle Field.
