ROCK HILL, SC-- Matt Stinson has been mentioned among the top freshmen in the country as College Soccer News placed him on its Freshmen Watch List.
The 5-10 midfielder out of Toronto, Ontario is expected to be an immediate impact player for the Eagles. He was named to the College Soccer News Top 100 Freshmen To Watch last week and is coming off a summer in which he played for the U-20 Canadian National Soccer Team.
He joins High Point's Alex Martinez and Coastal Carolina's Justin Portillo as the three players chosen from the Big South Conference.
