Dylan Comerford captured the Division 2 singles title in the Carolinas Invitational men's tournament which finished up Sunday afternoon at the Memorial Courts.
Comerford (Johannesburg, S. Africa) disposed of Steven Billington of Campbell 6-3, 6-3 to win his draw. Freshman
Michael Chen (Johnson City, TN) also advanced to the final match in the Div. 3 singles but fell to Gardner-Webb's Matt Parker.. The Eagles also had one doubles team advance to a final, but the team of freshman
Steven Patrick (Knoxville, TN) and
Yuta Hirokawa (Nigata, Japan) fell 8-2 to the duo of Thomas Cook and Lucas Santa Ana.
