ROCK HILL, S.C. - Winthrop men's tennis (10-7, 6-0 Big South Conference) hosts Presbyterian (9-12, 4-2 Big South) in its final match of the regular season. A win would give the Eagles an undefeated conference record at 7-0 and the Big South regular season championship outright. The squad's 6-0 record is the best since the 2011 team finished the regular season 6-0 in league play and 16-6 overall.

EAGLE HIGHLIGHTS
-Winthrop owns a 6-0 record in Big South play with victories over Gardner-Webb, UNC Asheville, Longwood, Campbell, Radford and Liberty. Since dropping a tough 6-0 loss to Ga. Southern on Feb. 25, Winthrop has bounced back to win nine of 11 matches, including the 6-0 start in league play.

Tremayne Mitchell has won 10 of his last 11 matches, and has climbed the ladder to play his last five matches at the No. 2 position. His team-leading 13-4 overall record is good for the fourth-best winning percentage in the Big South Conference (.765) and he owns a 5-1 record in league play.
-In doubles, Mitchell and
Diego Quiroz are undefeated at the court one position (4-0). Their victories have been decisive, only allowing their opponent more than two games once, a 6-4 victory over Radford's No. 1 duo.
-Quiroz is 5-1 in Big South play, with three of the five victories coming in straight sets, and 9-8 overall, all at the No. 1 singles position.

Gabriel Dias and
Joshua Ryan are an undefeated 10-0 at the No. 3 doubles position, the best record in the Big South Conference, including a perfect 6-0 league record.

Gabriel Dias is undefeated at 5-0 in conference play, with each victory coming in a three-set battle.

Connor Williamson has won three-consecutive conference matches at No. 4, and four of his last five matches overall, all in straight sets.

Presbyterian is enjoying a four-match winning streak, including three-consecutive Big South Conference wins over Longwood, Radford and Liberty.
UP NEXT
The Eagles will begin preparations for the Big South Conference Championship Tournament beginning Mon., Apr. 16. As the No. 1 seed, the Eagles will face the No. 8 seed. The full bracket and seeding will be announced by the Big South Conference at the end of this week at the conclusion of the regular season.
