Men's Golf Wraps Up Play At The Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate With 10th Place Finish (3-9-10)
Eagles Will Participate In Furman Intercollegiate March 18-20

AIKEN, SC – The Winthrop men's golf team finished in 10th place out 18 teams at the 13th Annual Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate hosted by USC-Aiken at the Palmetto Golf Club as redshirt freshman Cameron Bell (Charlotte, NC) shot a one-over-par 211 (72-69-70) to finish tied for fifth place.
The Eagles shot a three-round team total of 886 (300-298-288) and finished 31 shots behind tournament champion Chattanooga, who shot an 855.
Ben Kohles of Virginia shot a 205 to take home top individual medalist honors.
Freshman Kamito Hirai (Summerville, SC) tied for 42nd place with a 224 (76-77-71), while sophomores Jordan Sease (Lexington, SC) and Kyle Bearden (Barnwell, SC) both tied for 54th place with three-round scores of 228. Sease shot 76-78-74 during the tournament, while Bearden posted scores of 76-74-78. Freshman Brad Sill (Duncan, SC) finished tied for 69th place with a 233 (82-78-73).
The Eagles will be back in action on Mar. 18-20 when they travel to Greenville, SC to participate in the Furman Intercollegiate.
