Wooldridge and Levin

Wooldridge Named All-Conference, Levin Named To Academic Team (5-12-10)

CONWAY, SC-- Winthrop's Cari Wooldridge was named Second Team All-Big South and Lauren Levin was named to the All-Big South Academic Team as the annual softball awards were announced Wednesday evening.

It is the third All-Big South award for Wooldridge in her career as she finished the regular season 14-14 with a 2.25 earned run average with 172 strikeouts to 36 walks in 180.1 innings of work. In 13 appearences in conference games, Wooldridge was 5-5 with a 2.71 ERA and 64 strikeouts to 16 walks. 

Levin was named to the All-Academic Team for the first time in her career. Levin is majoring in History and is a two-time Big South Conference Presidential Scholar. She has started a majority of the games this season at catcher and is .250 on the season and has a .987 fielding percentage to go along with only one passed ball.
