Sophomore Kamito Hirai Is One Of Top Returnees For 2010-11 Season

ROCK HILL, SC--Winthrop men's golf coach Kevin Pendley has unveiled the 2010-11 schedule which includes five fall matches and four spring matches along with the Big South Conference Championship Tournament.
“We are very excited about the 2010-11 season. Our schedule has a couple of new stops in addition to many of the same events we have played the last couple of years," said Pendley. "We feel it will challenge our players and prepare us for the Big South Championship and postseason play. Each golf course is outstanding and the fields at each event will provide great competition.”
The Eagles will open the fall campaign in Hattiesburg, MS on Sept. 12-14 at the Sam Hall Intercollege. The other events during the fall season include: Rees Jones Intercollegiate, Oct. 3-5, Daufuskie Island, SC; Mizuno Savannah Intercollegiate, Oct. 10-12, Savannah, GA; ODU/Kilmarlic Collegiate, Oct. 23-26, Outer Banks, NC; The Hummingbird Intercollegiate, Oct. 31-Nov. 2, Cashiers, NC.
The spring season gets underway on Mar. 6-8 at the Samford Intercollegiate in Oneonta, AL. The remaining spring schedule includes: Rio Pinar Invitational, Mar. 13-15, Orlando, FL; Furman Intercollegiate, Mar. 17-20, Greenville, SC; River Landing Intercollegiate, April 7-9, Wallace, NC; Big South Championship, April 17-20, Ninety Six, SC.
