SIMPSONVILLE, KY—Winthrop men's golf posted its best score of the weekend in Sunday's final round of the Louisville Cardinal Challenge to finish tied for seventh.

• Zak Butt bounced back from a second round 80 to shoot even par in the final round for a Top 30 finish
• Eric Gilpin shot a 75 in all three rounds as he finished at 225 (+9) for a Top 40 finish
• Gilpin tied for the most pars in the tournament with 40
• Noah Peterson followed his second round 70 with a 74 on Sunday to tie for 16^th
• Peterson was strong on the Par 5's this weekend as he finished -5 for an average of 4.58
• Peterson finished under par (-1) in Par 3 scoring
• Winthrop had three golfers rank among the leaders in pars this week as Butt finished with 38 and Peterson had 37
