th with Dartmouth at the Furman Intercollegiate, Sunday afternoon.

FINAL RESULTS
TOURNAMENT TAP-INS
- Eric Gilpin led the Eagles in the final round with a 74 as he had three birdies and five bogeys
- He was solid on Par 4 scoring as he finished +3 in the 54-hole event
- Sawyer Mills had the top finish for the Eagles as he finished +5 for the tournament and tied for 34th
- The three-round total of 222 ties his third lowest total of the season
- Gilpin tied his best score in the final round with a 74, which he did in the final round of the East Bay Deli Classic
- Rohan Boettcher shot a collegiate-low 75 in the final round with a 37-38 behind a birdie and four bogeys
- Noah Peterson also shot a final round 75 as he's now scored 75 or lower in seven of his eight tournaments (74 or lower in six)
- The team's tournament total (902) is the third lowest for the team this season and the lowest of the spring
- Mills tied for the 6th most birdies in the event with 10 while Gilpin finished with nine
- After combining for just +7 on the back nine in the second round the Eagles were +13 in the final round
- Winthrop finished ahead of fellow Big South Conference members High Point, Charleston Southern and Presbyterian College while Gardner-Webb finished ahead of the Eagles by tying for 8th
SECOND ROUND TAP-INS
- The 2nd round was called for lightning with just a couple of shots to hit to complete the day and play resumed Sunday morning before the final round
- Winthrop improved by four strokes in its second round with a 298, which is the first sub-300 score in a round for the Eagle since a 299 in round two of the Sea Best Inv.
- Mills shot even par for a second straight round as he remains in the Top 25 at T-22nd after 36 holes
- Mills had four birdies and four bogeys, which matches what he did in the first round
- The 144 total by Mills in the first two rounds is a season-low (149 was previous best)
- Gilpin's round of 74 was a tale of two nines
- Gilpin started off the day on the back nine and shot 42 with six bogeys, but turned it around on his second nine (front nine) with five birdies and a bogey to fire a 32
- Zak Butt recorded Winthrop's third eagle in competition this year with an eagle three on the Par 5 2nd
- Mills got the first eagle of the year at Turtle Point GC during the East Bay Deli Classic on the Par 5 2nd while Michael McKee eagled the 5th at Turtle Point in the final round
- Butt started the day on the back nine and shot 44 and opened his back nine with a double but followed that with the Eagle as he was -3 on his final eight holes of the day
- The Eagles finished the day +18 on the front nine while it was just +7 on the back nine (including all six golfers competing)
- Mills has nine birdies in 36 holes, which is tied for the 4th most by any individual in the field
