Verde is in his first year as the Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Men’s Basketball and Men’s Golf programs.

Verde completed his undergraduate degree at the State University of New York at Cortland, earning an undergraduate degree in athletic training in May of 2022. During his time at Cortland, Verde completed clinical rotations with both the Cornell University Men’s and Women’s Basketball programs as well as various positions around SUNY Cortland Athletics.

Verde earned a master’s degree in advanced athletic training from the University of South Carolina in May of 2024. While attending USC, Verde worked with the Gamecock’s Cross Country/Track & Field teams (2024) as well as serving as the head athletic trainer at Orangeburg Preparatory School (2023).

Originally from Hopewell Junction, NY; Mike is also an American Red Cross CPR, AED & First Aid Instructor.
